Haul Video: Wholesale-Dress.net

Hiya unicorns! Today I am finally remembering to post a haul video I made a couple of weeks ago. I made a HUGE order to wholesale-dress.net with a few friends of mine, because if you ordered over $300 from the USA warehouse shipping was free. Considering that the outrageous shipping was the main reason I never tried out this website in the past, it was a perfect opportunity.

So six or seven of us placed an order (totaling $700!!) and we received our massive shipment within a week (super awesome fast turnaround). The quality of the products was so/so - I talk about some of them in the video. I forgot to include a lot because by the time I made the video everything was already spread all over my house. The biggest complaint I have is that for someone like me - 5'10" and 150lbs - a lot of the clothes were very, very small. I tried to order smart: ordering things only with sizes and choosing Large, etc. But the Asian larges fit more like a western Medium or big small. If you're going to order from an Asian wholesale website and you're not petite, I'd suggest shopping smart - purses, baggier shirts, etc.

But for the most part I am quite pleased with my purchases and will probably be making another bulk order from them next year when they have refreshed their stock!

OneUpMakeup: Black Circles Begone Makeup Tutorial

Oh hello there, unicorns! I'm a couple of days late on posting this, but since I don't have an outfit pic for you today because I had a HORRIBLE allergy attack this morning, here's the latest OneUpMakeup tutorial.

This time, Mallory did makeup on me. I am afflicted with genetically pre-determined black circles under my eyes, something I have always hated about myself. Mallory demonstrates how to easily conceal black circles under your eyes with a few simple makeup tricks. Bonus: you get to see me with no makeup! (cower in fear, it's not a pretty sight)

As always, if any of you have any suggestions for tutorials you would like to see OneUpMakeup tackle in the future, let me know!

Outfit #54: Purple Rain

Skirt: Urban Outfitters // Skull Button Up c/o Ami Club Wear // Shoes: Litas by Jeffrey Campbell // Hat: H&M // Sunglasses: eBay

It's hard for me to wear color when it's so cold and rainy outside, but I love rich purples and reds (it very much appeals to my gothic side). I adore the tiny detail of leering skulls on this blouse - it cranks the edginess factor up to 11.

Last night I watched one of the most ridiculously bad movies ever: In the Name of the King. I couldn't look away, though! It's shot suprisingly well and is lovely to look at. As far as I can tell, Uwe Boll just must have some SERIOUS dirt on someone in Hollywood, because he gets to continue to make movies.

I will cleanse my palette with the Hobbit! SO EXCITED.

What movies are you unicorns looking forward to this month?

Outfit #53: I find your lack of faith disturbing

Darth Vader Sweater: H&M // Skirt: Wholesale-Dress.net // Shoes: Litas by Jeffrey Campbell // Jewelry: eBay and Yard Sales

Hooray, I am back in my rainy, wet, cold city! Colorado was lovely and I had an excellent time (I have lots of photos to share with you guys this week!), but it is so nice to be back. Especially seeing Sushi, hooray! I missed that ball of puff. It was very difficult to leave bed this morning because she was all curled up and being adorable.

I got this awesome Darth Vader sweater in the men's section of H&M years ago. There was also one with a ton of TIE fighters on it, but obviously I had to go with the great Sith Lord. H&M, hear me: More Star Wars stuff, please!

My lovely Daniel got me an early Christmas present: The Sam Edelman Zoey boots I have been lusting over for the last two years. They were on sale for SIXTY DOLLARS on 6pm.com - usually 198. Hopefully they will be arriving to me at work today. I CAN'T WAIT.

Anyway, I have many, many posts coming up in the near future: now that I'm home from vacation I can fall into the blogging swing again!

Outfit #52: Browncoat

Brown Blazer: Thrifted // Dress: Thrifted // Shoes: Ross // Necklace: eBay

Hello hello! I apologize for the lack of posts lately, but I have been on vacation in Colorado and thus haven't really had time to blog! I have been having a GREAT TIME here - I went and saw Buffalo today!! No time to take outfit photos while I'm here, but here's an outfit from last week that I never posted. I return home to Seattle this evening, so expect your regularly scheduled Geeky Peacock posts to pick up again!

Muah!
