Outfit #44: Moody Pink
Vintage Sweater: Thrifted // Oversized blazer: Thrifted // Boots: Thrifted // Head Bow: H&M // Necklace and Ring: eBay // Bodycon Skirt: Ross
I bought this sweater at a thrift store in Idaho when I was about 16. It's a super oversized granny sweater and I've never really stopped loving it. I find it interesting how some aspects of my style have never really changed - I've always loved dusky pinks and gothic undertones. I go through vintage/earthy phases, but I always come back to moodiness. Living in dark, rainy, cold Seattle also doesn't help this.
There's not a whole lot going on in my life lately. Working full time kind of puts a damper on most of my other billion projects, so at night when I get home I mostly just putz around the house and do weird little projects. Last night I used an old thrift store canvas to make some new art for above the bed with Daniel. Yes, it's a Game of Thrones quote. I'll have a tutorial for you guys coming soon!
I've felt a little stagnant in life lately - but I begin to feel this way if something doesn't happen for a week. Admittedly, I am a little high strung. Basically, I've been waiting on some super huge, life changing news for nearly a year now - a few months ago I got a glimpse into this new career/life path, but since then I have heard NOTHING.
In other news, in conjunction with my article from a few weeks ago about how Cosplay Is Not a Permission Slip, I wrote a follow up piece for iFanboy about How to Behave Like a Human Being at Conventions. This is a topic I obviously feel strongly about, which leads me to a new point: If you have experienced any sort of sexual harassment at a convention, whether in costume or not, I'd love to hear about it. I'm working on launching a website where people can share their stories and we can spread awareness of the horrible behavior people have to deal with at conventions. You can send me an email with the "contact" button above.
Have a lovely Thursday, Unicorns!
